6-person group project
CubeSat & Low-Friction Environment Platform
Designed and manufactured significant elements of a low-friction platform for a yaw-controlled CubeSat system. Iterated the layout for mass, centre of gravity, fan and thruster placement, stability, access and manufacturability, producing engineering drawings to BS 8888.
Our LFEP recorded the fastest mean speed in the project and was the best-performing platform.
Open case study →Individual third-year project
Experimental Aerodynamics
An independently managed project specialising in experimental aerodynamics, applying aerodynamic theory, experimental methods, data acquisition and quantitative analysis.
Comparing theoretical and numerical predictions against experimentally measured behaviour.
View technical work →Independent project
Mini Aircraft Radar
Designed and developed a compact real-time aircraft radar using an ESP32, circular TFT display and rotary encoder, calculating aircraft distance and bearing from live positional data.
Integrated C++, Wi-Fi networking, REST/OAuth APIs and JSON processing with a custom interface; the 3D-printed enclosure is in development.
